Have you always wanted to learn to program, but thought until now that it was too hard for you, or simply never got round to it? We have exactly the right workshop for you, and it is easier than you think.
Come by and let us convince you! On Saturday, 23.08.2014 from 13:00 to 19:00, Alexander Schremmer (xoraxax) is giving an introduction to the basics of programming using the programming language “Python”. Participants must be 16 or older. No prior knowledge of programming is needed; knowing some English is useful (but not required).
As an introductory exercise we will write programs together that draw national flags. Anyone who likes is welcome to join us afterwards at the Demodays in Olten (20:00). There you can see small programmed works of art competing against each other.
This workshop is free of charge; we are of course glad of a donation.

If possible you should bring your own laptop running MacOSX, Linux or Windows, on which you have admin rights to install the software. Please write us an email if that is not possible.
