On 16.08.2014 at 15:00 we are running a T-shirt printing workshop.
With laptop, cutting plotter and transfer press to the design you want on your T-shirt.
Anyone who can use a keyboard and mouse can print T-shirts too. We will show you how! Together we will turn your T-shirt idea, or one of our templates, into a finished printed T-shirt which you can take away straight after the course.
Questions and registrations to: workshops@lists.starship-factory.ch

Course content
In this 4-hour workshop we will show you the basics of the open source program Inkscape and convert a template (a photo or a logo, say) into a vector graphic suitable as a T-shirt design.
While we cut the finished design together on the cutting plotter, you will learn what to watch out for when plotting.
After you have weeded your design, you get an introduction to operating our textile transfer press — and your T-shirt is finished, printed with the design you wanted.

Conditions of participation
Please register in advance and bindingly by email to workshops@lists.starship-factory.ch, or in person during our opening hours.
The course costs a one-off CHF 75 (CHF 45 for members of the association and children). A multi-colour printed T-shirt is included in the price.
People of any age who can handle a mouse and keyboard can take part (children only when accompanied by an adult).
Registration is binding: there is no refund of the costs if you do not attend. Registering does not guarantee a place. If the workshop goes ahead, we send a confirmation of registration by email.
Should the event not be able to take place, we refund the participation fees. No claims for liability arise from events cancelled by the organiser.

Requirements
If possible, you should bring your own laptop running Mac OS X, Windows or Linux, on which we can install the software.
