Mitch Altman from the hackerspace “Noisebridge” in San Francisco has announced himself as our guest. On 20 May at 18:00 he will be giving a soldering workshop here at Starship Factory. It is suitable for beginners who have never soldered and are looking for an easy way in. The kits, on the other hand, are varied and interesting for the more advanced too.
Mitch brings the soldering kits himself. Among them:
- the TV-B-Gone, for switching off any television easily,
- the Brain Machine, for relaxing and meditating,
- the Mignonette games console, to take along, and
- the Drawdio audio drawing device
… and many other kits to solder yourself!

Mitch and our competent electronics team are glad to help with guidance and support. You can find more detailed information in our flyer and on our wiki information page about Mitch’s workshop.
Never been to Starship Factory? Directions are on our page “How to find us”.
Please register in advance and bindingly by email to workshops@lists.starship-factory.ch. We look forward to a lively turnout!
If you would like to help us, you are welcome to print and distribute our workshop flyer yourself.
The workshop was a complete success! Many thanks to all the helpers and especially to the Odenwilusenzer, who lent us their equipment. Without you we could not have offered so many places, thank you! And of course many thanks to Mitch, who gave this great workshop. You’re awesome!
