If you like wooden sculptures but are not much good at carving, there are now alternatives. Instead of working sculptures out of a block of wood with a knife, we now also have filament for the 3D printer that contains wood and therefore gives a very attractive, woody look.
That turns carving work into modelling work; the 3D printer does the rest.
At Starship Factory we now have wood filament in stock. Current prices for 3D prints with this and other filament are on our wiki. You are warmly invited to drop by and make something out of wood filament yourself. Of course you are also very welcome to simply work with wood here and carve something out of it; we are happy to help with our knowledge and our ideas.
