Bring on the electronics tinkering!

Having tracked down a few new toys, we are now rather better equipped in general for people who want to tinker with electronics here.

Besides the individual parts of circuits, you need things to do something with the electricity. So we have electric motors, for instance, in case you want to move something. Above all we wanted to use them to stress-test new parts for our sewing machines.

Two smaller electric motors.

More interesting for the computer-minded are the displays, which could serve as spare parts for the Ultimaker but could also be used for other purposes and circuits.

If you like it a bit hotter, you can work with lasers instead. The important thing there, of course, is to observe and build in the appropriate safety precautions, so that nobody gets lasered over.

Over the course of next year we will expand our stock of parts further. Our plans include an SMD-capable soldering iron, circuit boards, a stock of Arduinos, various sensors, and so on. We also want to offer kits for building various circuits yourself. So stay tuned — and help us turn our plans into reality!

Is something still missing for your project on our wish list? Come by and let us know, and we will help you with your project too.
