Your makerspace in Basel - Starship Factory
We are a makerspace, hackerspace, meeting point and open workshop. A colourful mix of creative makers, artists and geeks from Basel and the surrounding area comes together here. Our members and guests work on their own and on joint projects, learning, teaching and inspiring each other.

What you can do here
3D printing
We have an extensive fleet of 3D printers. You can use them to print your own 3D models in plastic or resin.
CNC machining
With our CNC mills we can make parts from soft metals, wood and other soft materials.
Laser
We have a laser engraver and several laser cutters. With our laser cutters you can cut parts from plywood or acrylic glass, and much more!
Electronics
Starship Factory has a very well equipped electronics lab. Here you can solder to your heart’s content, make SMD boards or test your Arduino circuits. We are also happy to help newcomers to electronics with advice and a hand.
Wood workshop
We have a fully equipped wood workshop with a band saw, table saw, planer and much more.
Textiles
In our textile workshop we have a knitting machine, a sewing machine, an XTool Wonderpress and much more.
